Are intensal parasites contagious during sexual intercourse?

If the other person doesn't come in direct contact with your rectum area during sex, can he still get intestinal parasites by touching and stuff?

That's a good question and one that many people don't often think about, or are too afraid to ask.


Intestinal parasites most certainly can be passed during sexual intercourse. It is generally believed that contact with the fecal matter transfers the parasite to the hands and eventually to the mouth.


I suppose it would be possible to avoid passing intestinal parasites if the rectum was thoroughly cleansed before intimate relations and neither person touched the area in any way during intercourse.


It would also be very important for both parties to be very conscious not to touch their face with their hands until they were washed thoroughly afterward.


My concern with taking the above precautions and assuming that you will avoid passing or contracting intestinal parasites is that I believe that many people who have intestinal parasites are likely to also have fungal overgrowth (yeast infection).


Yeast infections (candidiasis) are very easily passed from person to person during sexual intercourse, both from the penis and vagina. No touching of the hands to the mouth is necessary.


Of course, my suggestion would be to refrain from intimate relations until you are able to cleanse and eliminate the intestinal parasites so you can avoid passing the problem back and forth to one another.


It's fairly easy to eliminate parasites and yeast infections in most cases with a natural parasite cleanse and some temporary changes in your diet.
