Question about black hair like things near my pubic area...

I am a male, and earlier I noticed this small black mark near my genital area. I asked my father, and he didn't think much of it, but then I realized they are like black hairs, they are rough and don't feel natural.


It doesn't itch, it's just rough and slightly dry. I have no idea what it is.

I can't say for sure what those little black marks are. Are you saying that they are very short, almost like an ingrown hair? Is that a possibility?


It could be a bit of fungal infection. That can exhibit itself as small black specks on the skin in the pubic area or other places on the body.


If that is the case, you could try applying some tea tree oil or clove oil to the area a couple of times per day. If you find that using the oil straight stings, you can dilute it by mixing it with some olive oil and that should help.


You can also rinse the area with sea salt in water after you bathe and before you apply the oil. This helps, too.


Again, it's hard to say for sure exactly what the issue is based on your description, but that would be my best suggestion to you. I hope it helps and that you can eliminate the concern rather quickly.
