Burning and Stinging Mouth

by Janet R.

Could the symptoms of a burning and stinging mouth be associated with pH imbalance?

I've been experiencing these symptoms and was wondering if you can tell me what might be the cause.

Thanks,
Janet

Hi Janet,

To some extent the answer would be yes, because pH imbalance is pretty much related to almost anything that is wrong in the body.

Some doctors believe that if your body pH is right, illness and disease are unable to survive in the human body.

More specifically, it sounds to me like you may have a yeast infection, also known as thrush or Candida.

There's a good book you can download about how to cure your yeast infection naturally that you may want to read, but I can give you my suggestions based on what I use myself.

There are 4 things I would use/suggest and they are an ideal protocol for so many concerns because frankly they work together to clean out your body of parasites and toxins and boost your immune system, balancing your pH in the process.

The truth is that giving your body what it requires enables the body to do it's own healing where needed.

So, without further ado, here they are...

  • Florafood
  • Herbal Fiberblend
  • Barley Life
  • AIMega

First of all, get yourself some good quality probiotics. I prefer Florafood. Take 1-2 capsules 3 times per day with meals. This helps build up the friendly bacteria in your system so that it can help get the unfriendly bacteria (yeast) under control again.

I'd immediately start a gentle digestive cleanse using Herbal Fiberblend too. If your Candida has been active for a while, there's a VERY good chance that it is not just your mouth that is being affected.

The Herbal
Fiberblend is loaded with anti-fungal and anti-parasitic herbs. By taking a teaspoon (gradually working up to a Tablespoon) mixed with water twice per day, you can help your body eliminate the yeast fungus overgrowth much more quickly as the herbs kill off the yeast and the fiber helps you to pass the dying parasites quickly.

The AIMega is a combination of essential fatty acids (Omega 3, 6, and 9) that are necessary for cell health and cell repair. The lack of this element will definitely keep your body of balance. EFA's also act as an anti-inflammatory.

And finally, the BarleyLife is a whole food supplement that is so rich in nutrition that it also feeds your cells and gives your body the resources it needs to return to balance. In fact, because BarleyLife is a natural green whole food it balances your pH as well.

I would also suggest that you try to avoid sugars for a while as sugar feeds thrush or yeast, just in case that is what is the underlying cause of your burning and stinging mouth.

What you shouldn't do is ignore the problem and hope it goes away. :) People don't realize how serious a yeast infection can get when left to grow unchecked in your body. Your immune system gets weaker and weaker and you become susceptible to a wide range of diseases and illnesses.

It's really so easy to cure a yeast infection (in the grand scheme of things) that it's not worth risking your health over.

When you give your body what it needs to stay healthy, you'll feel much better each and every day.

I hope you are able to get rid of this burning and stinging mouth quickly!

To your good health!

Menopausal Symptoms
by: Angie

Hi Janet,

If these symptoms you are experiencing are genuinely the result of being in menopause, the best thing I could/would recommend to you is that you start using some natural progesterone cream and herbs that help keep the hormones in balance and reduce the symptoms of menopause.

I use Renewed Balance and Revitafem, and have recommended them to quite a few of my friends. We've all loved the results we've received.

Natural progesterone cream offers a wide range of benefits. Your body reacts so much better to everything when your hormones are in balance. Low progesterone is usually the culprit when we are experiencing symptoms of hormonal imbalance, whether we are in menopause or not.

I'd be interested in hearing more about this particular menopausal syndrome that you mentioned. What is the syndrome called?

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the early suggestions I made are extremely helpful to you as well. Keeping your immune system strong is important for overall good health and balance.

All the best!

Vinegar may be the cause
by: Anonymous

I've always had normal lips, no cold sores, etc. Although I have gotten canker sores inside my mouth on occasion. My burning mouth problem began when I began drinking a daily glass of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and honey. It was supposed to be good for you, so I figured if some is good, more is better, and I started drinking 2 glasses of this a day.

After a month or so, I developed burning lips, mostly just inside the rim. Soon, my lips got red spots and became slightly swollen.

Then I developed sores that covered my entire lips (mostly the bottom lip). They were little open wounds that healed amazingly fast, but then I'd get a new one nearby. These miniscule blisters were constantly on my lips.

After 10 months of seeing multiple regular doctors and trying alternative medicine too, I narrowed it down by a process of elimination to a food "allergy." It was the vinegar. After I stopped drinking it, the burning would re-occur immediately if I ate a salad with vinegar, but like usual it would heal very quickly.

After about 8 months of not drinking the daily vinegar, my body ph restabilized and I was able to eat vinegar on a salad again with no effects.

I truly believe too much vinegar caused a ph imbalance in my body and have not had the problem ever again, and I can now eat salad with vinegar often.

PH level can it cause tingly body
by: Anonymous

Hi, i have had a mirena iud for about 18 months, it didnt agree with me, i got heart ectopic beats, weak body and vertigo and dizzy, ringing in the ear and a tingly body. I got the iud remove just over a year ago and still have a tingly body its a bit like a nervous electrical thing running through my body about 80 per cent of the day. I still get the ringing in mainly the left ear, im happy to say i had my heart checked and its all good now, I dont have the ectopic beats. My vision went weird,i also things would appear to be moving where they are not. Not one medical person would even consider any of this would be the mirena, but i feel 80% better than i did when i had the iud. I was a fit healthy 42 year old. I have had bownen therapy, i have taken lots of supplements, im now getting acupuncture, i eat a good diet i work at a whole food store.I recently did my Ph level at home it seams to be around 6 in the morning and 5 and night. Could this cause my problems.

Mirena IUD NEW
by: Angie from allaboutparasites.com

I'm NOT a big fan of the Mirena IUD for a variety of reasons, but mostly because of the dangers that it can cause to the women who use them and the unborn babies they may effect.

Having said that, what's done is done and now all you can do is try to help your body recover from the effects. I have little doubt that what you are experiencing ARE the effects of the Mirena IUD based on what you've said.

I doubt that a pH imbalance is the cause, but it can certainly be a symptom. When your body is out of balance, whether it is hormones, pH, or nutritional deficiencies, etc., your health is effected whether you notice it right away or not.

The best thing you can do is attempt to cleanse your body of those things that are working against you, feed your cells with an abundance of the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that it needs, and if necessary try to restore your hormone balance with natural hormone replacement.

The suggestions I made at the top of the page to Janet would serve you well also. Support your body in every way you can and allow it to do what it was designed to do in return.

Blessings,
Angie

by: D. Enos

I was also told by a dpctor that older women menopausal or post menopausal have the burning mouth syndrome and there's nothing you can do about it. So thankful I read this post.
