A Candida cure can be achieved through an anti-candida diet and proper nutritional supplements that will boost the immune system and give your body the chance to get the yeast infection under control.
It is not that uncommon to develop candidiasis, especially in these days of contraceptives (birth control pills), antibiotics, and high sugar diets.
These are just the type of ingredients that contribute to a yeast overgrowth!
You may want to read more about what is candida if you aren't sure that you are actually experiencing candida symptoms.
This will help you determine the right course of action.
If you know that you have a yeast infection, then, no doubt, you are wanting to do something about it immediately.
I've had a few bouts over the years, so I know how much discomfort you can experience, even though my cases were fairly mild, thankfully, so the candida cure wasn't too hard to achieve.
The first thing I do to achieve a candida cure is start on my supplements. Candida albicans has taken over because the immune system has been compromised in some way. It is therefore too weak and needs a good feed. There are a number of supplements that will work together to build your immune system back into a healthy state so that it can fight the candida and win.
Probiotics are really important to help build up your immune system so that there are enough good bacteria to aid in the fight against the candida fungus.
Jeffrey Bland is the professor of nutritional biochemistry at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. In his book, Yeast Nutrition - Candida Albicans: An Unsuspected Problem he writes the following...
"We have been very excited about an alternative therapy for the management of candida infection that avoids the use of anti-yeast medications. It is well recognized that a disturbed flora of the gastrointestinal tract can establish a proper environment for yeast proliferation. By reinoculating the bowel with the proper symbiotic acid-producing bacteria, there is a reduction of the compatibility of the intestinal environment for the yeast proliferation. We have recently used an oral supplement of Lactobacillus acidophilus...this has been extremely successful in reducing Candida albicans in the intestinal tract."
I've used various forms of acidophilus (probiotics) over the years, but the one I currently recommend is FloraFood®. It provides both Lactobacilli (Lactobacillus acidophilus) and Bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) as well as the addition of Bifidobacterium longum.
If you prefer to take your probiotics in a powdered form, you can do that as well. Just be sure you mix the powder with filtered water, not tap water. Chlorine will kill the good bacteria, just like it does the bad bacteria. Also, allow the water to become room temperature before mixing. Cold water will send the bacteria into hibernation.
Whatever form or brand of probiotics you decide on, be certain to get a good quality that is guaranteed potent, not at the time of manufacture, but for a specific expiration date. All probiotics are not alike and you may be wasting your money and failing to help yourself if you don't read the labels and know what you are looking for.
You are not likely to get a candida cure without probiotics.
Most digestive disorders, like Candida, begin in the intestines. Fecal matter can build up, mucus lines the walls, toxins are stored, and parasites flourish. Parasites aren't just worms, as some people think. Fungi is just another form of parasite.
If you are experiencing severe candida symptoms you will do well to embark on a thorough colon cleanse to help clean out the digestive tract so that every other supplement you take will be effective.
The cleanse I use myself is Herbal Fiberblend®. I have found the combination of 17 herbs and fiber to be very effective in eliminating parasites and ridding the bowel of old matter. This will go a long way in helping you return to a healthy digestive function.
Garlic has wonderful antifungal and antibacterial properties. It is highly recommended that you include a good bit of garlic in your quest for a candida cure.
Yes, you can and should include fresh garlic as part of your candida diet, but you aren't likely to eat enough each day to really do the job.
Thankfully, there are good garlic supplements on the market. I prefer Bear Paw Garlic® rather than the usual garlic pills (Allium sativum) you'll find on your local store shelves. The difference with Bear Paw Garlic is that it is actually a different distinctive species of garlic. It is from the wild uncultivated species, Allium ursinum, that grows in the alpine regions of central Europe, particularly Switzerland.
The main difference is that Bear Paw Garlic is more potent and effective than it's more common cultivated cousin.
In order to have a healthy body and a healthy immune system that stays in balance and is able to ward off invaders like candida albicans on a rampage, you have to feed your body the proper nutrition. I know this can be extremely difficult. Our lives are often so busy, and we don't always know how good the quality of our food really is.
Because of this, I recommend that you try a supplement that I use every day called BarleyLife®. BarleyLife is a powdered whole food supplement that is made from the juice of fresh young barley greens. It is extremely high in nutrition and makes a wonderful immune booster.
Of course, if you are suffering from Candida, supplements alone are not the answer. You really need to make a change in the way you eat, at least for a while. You will be able to add back restricted foods after your body is back in control, but until then, follow the candida diet guidelines. I know it will be tough to cut out some of your favorite foods, but you'll be able to cure your candida a lot quicker if you make that effort.
I believe that if you take the four supplements I've recommended above along with a change in your diet, you'll get rid of your yeast infection pretty quickly and achieve a candida cure. In the most severe cases however, you may need some additional help. The following are other recommended vitamins and nutrients that you can take to assist you.
When deciding to add these to your regime, apart from the olive oil, consider adding only one new supplement each day so that you lessen the severity of the detox symptoms you will face as a result of the candida organisms dying off.
As the candida albicans die, they can leave a toxic mess that your body has to deal with. This has been documented and named The Herxheimer Reaction. Your body may experience a "healing crisis" that almost seems worse than the original problem. The symptoms of your candida cure may be include headaches, bloating, gas, and allergy like feelings. Be prepared to ride it out for a full candida cure.
