A Candida Fungus is an extremely common ailment that affects a great majority of the population at one time or another in their lives.
Candida is a normal fungal organism that can actually live with us harmlessly if it is kept in the proper balance.
In fact, candida does live in and on our bodies at all times.
We only begin to have problems and experience the symptoms of a yeast infection when something tips the balance and allows the candida fungus to change shape and grow out of control.
There are a number of different circumstances that trigger this overgrowth of yeast.
The most common cause of yeast overgrowth is the use of antibiotics. When antibiotics are used to kill some offending bacteria, they also kill off a whole host of good bacteria. This leaves the immune system weak and the candida takes off.
If possible, avoid using antibiotics. Save them as a last resort. The more you use antibiotics, the less effective they become when you really need them.
If all else fails and you have to take antibiotics, be sure to take probiotics at the same time, and for several weeks afterward. Probiotics, like acidophilus and bifidum, boost the count of the good bacteria and help keep the immune system strong. It also helps keep those Candida fungus under control.
Antibiotics isn't the only culprit. Steroid medications (like cortisone), contraceptives (birth control pills), low progesterone levels, ulcer medications, stress, tobacco, parasite infections, and high sugar and carbohydrate diets all contribute to yeast overgrowth.
A candida infection can be difficult to get rid of if you don't know these basic facts. Candida feeds on sugar.
You must change your diet if you really want to clear up a fungal infection caused by Candida albicans. You'll have to make yourself aware of the candida diet guidelines so you'll know exactly what foods you need to eliminate from your diet.
Diet alone is not likely to give you a complete natural candida cleanse. You will most likely need to include supplements if you want a full candida cure.
Probiotics is the most important supplement to start on immediately to build up the good bacteria. I recommend Florafood because I know the quality is there.
There are other supplements you should consider, depending on how severe your symptoms are and how far the overgrowth has spread. Bear Paw Garlic is a natural antifungal and Herbal Fiberblend cleanses the colon and helps clear out the infection.
To boost the immune and help it in its fight against the candida fungus, you need good nutrition. The change in diet will partially provide that good nutrition. I also take BarleyLife as well, because it is full of natural vitamins and minerals from the freshly juiced and dried young barley grass.
The sooner you fight back against a candida fungal yeast infection, the quicker you will be able to get it under control. Be consistent and persistent and you will prevail.
To your good health!
