Constipation 1 Year Old Son

My 1 year old does not drink liquid. It's a huge task to make him drink few spoons daily.

It is resulting in his constipation.


We have tried different types of juices, and calming tea, but it's a big task to make him drink.

Dear Asmer,

What is your son eating for food? Is he being breast fed? Does he eat anything else? Does he take a bottle?


He definitely needs fluids, of course. Does he like fruit? Can you get him to suck on some orange segments?


I know it is a lot of work, but you really do need to make the effort to insist that he drink whether he wants to or not.


Lack of fluids will cause not only the constipation, but he will become dehydrated also and that can lead to other serious issues.
