Doctors Think I'm Crazy
by MON
(Middle of Nowhere)
I am in the Military (24 yrs), and stationed in a remote area where medical care is limited.
In February of 2010, I was on travel and slept in a few different locations. Two-three days after I returned, I noticed small white pimples on and between my fingers. Having scabies many years ago, I believed I had it again.
I went to medical and they treated me with Elimite (5%). I informed them I was traveling to the middle east and would not be back for three-weeks. Having researched treatment, I asked for another tube to treat approximately 7 days later, but was told one tube was enough.
Exactly one month later I went back and they assured me there were no mites present, and the itch could continue for up to 6 weeks.
I complained of an itchy scalp and burning hands. A week later I continued to complain so they allowed me to treat with Elimite one more time just to shut me up.
One to two weeks later I started feeling crawling sensations on face, ears, nose. My hands continued to burn. I was experiencing pinprick biting all over my body.
I was then diagnosed with Dermatitis. Rashes started, itchy scalp continued and worsened. Hands continue to burn. I get red bumps, but they go away after a couple of days.
Now, 5 months later I am going out of my mind. My scalp itches so badly I cannot concentrate. My hands still burn, and the crawling sensations are almost constant.
At no time did anyone take a skin sample; only blood. I bought a microscope through the net and see small groups of black/red dots on hands and wrists.
I am due to go home in 2 months and I am worried I will pass this
horrible feeling to my wife and children. The military has given up with treating me and I need help.
Thanks, Middle of nowhere...
Hi MON,
So sorry to hear of the mess you are in. Doctors seem to use the "crazy" diagnosis as a fall back position when they can't figure out what's wrong. ;-)
Certainly sounds like you picked up some type of parasite or bacteria that started your initial symptoms and the treatments you've used may have only weakened your immune system allowing it to grow and spread unchecked.
Since you are able to order things online, I would suggest that you get the following supplements and give yourself a thorough cleanse before you head home.
The first two are herbal combinations that will help to eliminate a wide range of parasites and toxins.
The last three are immune boosting supplements that will help to rebuild the good bacteria in your body and strengthen and balance your body.
Meanwhile, while you are waiting for your supplements to arrive, here's something else you can try in order to get some relief from the symptoms.
See if you can get your hands on some organic, raw apple cider vinegar. If you can, add a tsp. to a glass of water and drink it a couple of times per day. You can also rinse your hair and apply it to your skin.
I'm not sure what kind of food you have available to you, but try to cut back on sugars and processed foods as much as possible.
I hope these suggestions are helpful and that you are able to get home safe and sound to your family. Thank you for your years of service.
To your good health!Angie
