Is Dandruff A Potential Sign of Ringworm?
I've got a bad case of dandruff... or eczema... I'm wondering if that could be sign of ringworm?
Thanks,
Phil
Hi Phil,
Ringworm on the scalp does often look like dandruff.
Ringworm is actually a fungal infection. Eczema is something different and can be a result of too many toxins in the system. When the organs can't keep up with the filtration of them, they send the excess to the skin to deal with.
If you think your dandruff is from ringworm, consider using some antifungal essential oil on your scalp, like tea tree, neem, oregano, or garlic (might smell a bit at first, but should do the trick).
Also, it's important to fight a fungal infection from the inside/out, too. Take some probiotics (acidophilus, etc.) to build up the good bacteria in your body to fight the fungus. I like
Florafood.
I would also recommend cleansing your system with a good natural herbal remedy to help get rid of the dandruff more quickly. Try a simple 3 month cleanse using
Herbal Fiberblend for the best long term results.
This same supplements (the Herbal Fiberblend and Florafood) would also be helpful if your dandruff is more from eczema instead of from ringworm.
Cleaning your system and boosting your bodies natural immune fighting capabilities is always a fundamental first step when dealing with irregularities, in my opinion.
Wishing you the best,
Angie
