Itchy Bites On My Body
by Neethu

Dear Angie,
I've been getting very itchy bites on my body especially on fleshly areas. These are red hard bites on thighs, stomach and hands.
Now on my bright orange wall I've seen these really tiny barely visible to the eye kind of light tiny worm like creatures.
They are visible only when I focus light and stare sharply at them. Can you please tell me what they are and how to get rid of them?
I live in India. It's been there for a long time. The bites are medium sized like a rash and they form flat hard red/pink bumps. They also leave a dark ugly scar on my skin.
Please help.
Thanking you,
Neethu
Dear Neethu,
I'm sorry to hear about the strange bites and rash you are getting. It could be a number of different things that is causing it - parasites, bugs, allergic reaction, fungus, etc.
I'm not really familiar with what parasites are common in India, but it could be that you are getting bitten by some type of mites or fleas.
Can you get some clove oil, tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil there? If so, try making up a mixture of water and essential oil in a spray bottle (about 20 drops in a couple of cups of water) and spray it around your home.
You can also make a mixture of the same essential oil combined with some olive oil or pure coconut oil and apply it to the places on your body where you are getting the rash and bites.
If you have a bathtub, you can also try soaking in a warm bath with sea salt in it. That should help to relieve the itching somewhat and encourage healing.
Living in the tropics, I sometimes get itchy bites on my body that I can't figure out what is causing it. Apart from what I've already mentioned, I sometimes use chamomile or ginger tea to help as a natural antihistamine and even apply organic apple cider vinegar to my skin. That helps too.
I hope some of these suggestions will be helpful to you and that you will be able to get rid of this itchy condition soon.
Keep us posted on how you are progressing - what helps and what doesn't, etc.
To your good health!Angie
