Normaxin During Pregnancy
by Prabhakar
Is it safe to use Normaxin during pregnancy?
I have taken Normaxin (Dicyclomine HCl 10mg + Clidinium Bromide2.5mg + Chlordiazepoxide5mg) tablets for the last one month during my early pregnancy days.
The scan result shows I'm 5 weeks and 3 days into my pregnancy.
Will these tablets have any effects on the foetus?

Hi Prabhakar,
First let me say congratulations on your expected new baby. A new baby is always wonderful news! :)
I don't have much knowledge or experience when it comes to the prescription drug, Normaxin. From what I could find by doing a little research, it is NOT recommended for use during pregnancy.
However, since you already took it during the early days of your pregnancy (I assume before you realized you were expecting), there is nothing you can do about it.
Was your unborn baby affected? I don't know. I would let your doctor or midwife know about the situation so they will be aware of it and can suggest some safe alternatives for you.
Hopefully, the Lord will be so kind as to have protected your little one from any harm and they will be born perfectly healthy!
Depending on why you were taking the Normaxin, you may find that adding a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and drinking it with meals will help to give you relief from your digestive issues without having to worry about the negative side effects.
Blessings,
Angie
