Red Line On My Wrist

What is this red line on my wrist?

I have a red line on the inside of my right wrist. It is more pronounced in the morning, especially after a shower, and barely noticeable during the day.


During the day it looks more like a rash. It does not itch but the line is curved and raised. I don't see the curved line anywhere else on my body.


Any ideas what it could be?

Interesting that the red line on your wrist doesn't itch. If it was itching, I'd be inclined to think that it was perhaps scabies. Usually scabies itches considerably though.


A red line can also be a sign of infection, but usually it is association with a wound that becomes infected and the red line is going away from the wound as it travels further up the body.


You haven't described anything like that, but I felt it important to mention it just in case because an infection should not be left untreated.


If you have no other symptoms beyond this unusual red line on your wrist, you could simply try applying some natural topical remedies to see if you can eliminate it.


The remedies I would try would be tea tree oil, coriander oil, or neem oil. I'd also try using aloe vera gel (straight from the plant, if possible).


Applying the topical treatment several times per day for several days should give you a general idea if it is going to make any difference.


I also would take some acidophilus or other probiotics to help boost your immune system to be on the safe side.


If these suggestions don't help, you may want to check with a doctor in your area to see if they can specifically identify the cause of the red line on your wrist. Knowing for sure what it is would make it a lot easier to know how to treat the condition, of course.
