Spirulina Benefits - A whole food nutritional powerhouse!
After I learned the true role of good nutrition and how it really provides the foundation of good health, I started eating better foods, juicing and adding supplements to my lifestyle. It has had a profound effect on my personal health improvement.
However, I was to the point where I was getting so many individual supplements that it was getting extremely expensive. Then I learned about spirulina, a whole food supplement and that whole food supplements give you nutrients in a balanced form. With individual supplements, there is a risk of creating nutritional imbalances in the body.
I discovered and started taking spirulina. Spirulina is packed with protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins (especially the B vitamins) and minerals. It really is complete nutrition in a simple form and has been used as a food source for many cultures for thousands of years. It's a true "health pill!"
By using spirulina, I feel certain that I've given my body the range of nutrients needed on a daily basis. I continue to make other healthy choices, but I don't have attention on "did I eat all the right things" every day. And I was able to reduce the amount of other supplements I use considerably!
I use both the tablet form, or when I'm making a health smoothie I use the powder form. It's the best "fast food" I've ever eaten!
