How do you treat a male yeast infection with apple cider vinegar?

I may have had a yeast infection while having sexual intercourse with my boyfriend! And I was wondering if apple cider detoxification applies to males as well?!

Hi Anna,

You are right to be concerned about passing a yeast infection back and forth during sexual intercourse.


Both of you should use natural remedies to be sure to eliminate the fungus overgrowth or you will continue to pass it.


Apple Cider Vinegar can be helpful in treating a yeast infection, but I wouldn't rely on it alone to do the job. You both should take some probiotics (like Florafood) for a couple of weeks to build up your good bacteria and help get the bad bacteria under control.


If you do decide to use Apple Cider Vinegar, be sure to get some with the "mother" in it. That's the cloudy kind that has the most beneficial properties. Bragg's is a good brand.


Males can use ACV topically if it's a penis infection, but they may want to dilute it with water before applying it to reduce the burning sensation that may result.


There are other good recommendations for a male yeast infection cure, so you may want to consider them, too.
