Vinegar Detox Through The Feet?

Can you really do a vinegar detox through the feet?
My daughter had a very severe stomach ache and felt nauseous. My sitter, who is Eastern European, told me of a home remedy which she swore would make her better.
She took vinegar, mixed it with water and then soaked a pair of socks in it. She put the wet socks on my daughter's feet and covered them with one or two other pairs to prevent wetting everything.
Shortly after this treatment, my daughter announced she felt much better. Is it possible that the treatment had an impact?
Hi Janice,
I think it is
certainly possible that this treatment of soaking the feet in a vinegar and water mixture had an impact on your daughter feeling better.
What kind of vinegar was used? Apple cider vinegar? Please use the comment form below to give us the specifics.
Apple Cider vinegar (particularly organic apple cider with the "mother" in it) is well known to have a wide range of healing properties for the body, both internally and externally.
The method your sitter gave you to implement with soaking the socks, etc., is a very clever one. I'm very interested in knowing if anyone else has tried this particular natural vinegar treatment and what type of results you've had.
To your good health!Angie
